Areas of activities

The intersection of Law and Economics/Business is exemplified by key legal areas where interdisciplinary analysis is essential. These areas may include (list is non exhaustive):

  • Corporate Governance
  • Corporate Law
  • Financial Regulation
  • Corporate Finance and International Finance Law
  • Competition law
  • Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainable Development
  • Utilities Regulation.

UK and China exhibit significant differences in all these areas not only in relation to the legislation but also in its enforcement. The Centre will provide the forum for in depth research and detailed analysis of the respective legislative framework and practice in an attempt to identify similarities, differences and their implication.

The Sino-UK Research Centre on Commercial Law, Economics and Business  adopts a flexible approach in its engagement with stakeholders and is closely aligned with the needs of policymakers, as well as the needs of the industry and their advisors in various areas of law, economics and finance.
